Junior Branch

The Junior Branch of the Institution is open to eligible children under the age of 16 at which point, they may transfer to the Adult Branch.

Junior Lodges operate within each Province of the Grand Lodge of England and are attached to a ’Parent Adult Lodge’ from which a Junior Superintendent is selected to look after the well-being of the Junior members.

The Grand Lodge maintains oversight of the Junior Movement by annually electing a Grand Junior Superintendent, who is assisted by a team of officers and a committee made up of all Junior Superintendents.

The Junior Lodges aim to both educate and entertain the children. In particular, the ‘Juniors’ are grounded in the central beliefs of the Institution, including our support for:

  • The Monarchy
  • Biblical Teaching
  • Patriotism (Democratic Government)
  • Charitable Giving

There are numerous events planned for Junior Members throughout the year, such as:

  • Church parades and services
  • Scripture Tests
  • General Knowledge Quizzes
  • Fun Days and Trips
  • Charity fundraising
  • Parties (Christmas / National Events)

The overall aim of the Junior Movement is to guide and assist children to become responsible, respectful members of society, and to encourage them to continue with their membership into the Adult Movement to further advance their understanding of the Principles and Aims of the Institution.

A warm welcome awaits, and further information can be provided upon request.
